Al eeuwen lang word Amsterdam geassocieerd met de legendarische tulp. Toch zijn er in Amsterdam nauwelijks nog tulpen te zien. Om Amsterdam weer als tulpenstad te laten bloeien zullen in het weekeinde van 24 en 25 April in zo'n tien tuinen langs de grachten zowel historische als moderne tulpen te bewonderen zijn.

For centuries Amsterdam has been associated with the legendary tulip, yet today hardly any tulips can be seen in the city. To once again let Amsterdam flourish as the tulip capital some 10 gardens along the canals will display both historical and contemporary tulips in the weekend of April 24 and 25.

Open Tuinen Dagen

Zoals ieder jaar organiseren de Amsterdamse Grachtenmusea de Open Tuinen Dagen in het derde weekend van juni. Op 18, 19 en 20 juni 2010 zullen zo'n dertig grachtentuinen opengesteld worden voor het publiek. Dit jaar is het thema van de Open Tuinen Dagen 'Hofjes en Gezamenlijke Tuinen'.

Open Garden Days

As every year, the Amsterdam Canal Museums organise the Open Garden Days in the third weekend of June. On 18, 19 and 20 June 2010 some thirty canal gardens will be open to the public. Each year the Open Garden Days are being organised around a theme. This year the theme will be 'Courts and Community Gardens'.

 

De tuinen zijn alle drie de dagen geopend van 10 tot 17 uur.

The gardens will be open all three days from 10 am to 5 pm.
